Weekend Warrior Project

October 2 years ago we took out the carpet in the dining room and office and put down wood floors, since then we have been talking about taking out the carpet in our living. We finally decided that we would do the living room only to find out the place we bought the floors did not have enough of the same floor to do our living room and they could not order anymore. Holy Cow, that was not good... BUT after a snow day and a little research, Steve found some more of the same floor and viola! we have wood floor in the living room and what a difference it makes. I.LOVE.IT!!!! Next we will paint the living room and kitchen...by next I mean a few months down the road .. the flooring was a big enough project on its own! Steve stared Friday night about 6, worked on it for a couple hours then was finished with it by 2pm on Saturday! He did a great job!! Jack helped him a little!!! He is quite the little helper!!!

SOME RANDOM PICS OF THE WEEKEND... AND JACK GOT A NEW CHAIR...I think he likes it!

JACK

What has Jack been up to??? Everything! He runs... RUNS, all over the place. He climbs, CLIMBS on any and everything! He stomps his foot, he dances the claps and says "yay", he repeats just about anything you say to him; Me: "Say HI Jack" Jack: "Hi Jack"! He picks up anything that resembles a phone and says " Hi DaDa!", Jack what does Rosco say?.... he throws his head back and barks... because that is exactly what Rosco does--tis SO funny! He LOVES that dog and Rosco is pretty fond of him too!

Aunt KiKi came to visit..

A couple weeks ago Aunt KiKi came to visit! It was a fantastic weekend. And every once in a while Mommy needs a weekend with her friend! Kristi got in town Friday evening so we started the weekend with enchiladas and beer. Then Saturday we made breakfast and headed out to do some shopping...we shopped all day--I have not done that in a long time. It was so much fun. We finally made it back home to Jack and Steve, we ate some dinner, Steve made us some good ole' BBQ!!

Magnolia!

Last year after Jarrett passed away I recieved a package on my door step. It had just been one of those days...inside the package was a little tree, a Magnolia Tree. It was sent from some of my good friends from High School; Kelly, Liz & Lindsey! Let me tell you I do not have a green thumb at all so I baby this thing! So far so good, its growing! (and staying warm with this weather!) We have not planted it because this is not our forever home or even our 10 year home... so until we find either our perfect house or buy land I will keep it growing in a pot.. the pot gets larger about every 6 months!
Thank you girls so much for sending me this little tree, its a wonderful reminder everytime I look at it!

What a Year Its Been!

We can get on with life but I don't think the pain and hurt will ever go away. What a wonderful 8 weeks we had with our baby boy Jarrett and I know he is in a much better place now but its still hard. Its the little things that make me think about him and want to hold him. But all the while makes me want to pull my Jack in a little closer and give him all the love I have in my entire body, I love that kid so much, he. is. my. WORLD!
So today I will think about Jarrett and know how much better he is, I will keep Jack close and give him double the love!
**and Mother Nature couldn't have pick a better day to snow, sleet, rain and ICE over--again! I am happy to be home with Jack today.

So in Memory of Jarrett Lane Jesulaitis
this day is for you!

Snowed In-In Texas, Really?

This might have been the longest week ever, Jack and I have been cooped up in the house since Tuesday, no work, no shcool--nothing but a quick trip to Target on Thursday. And to make matters worse, Steve is out of town for the weekend and that alone makes for a LONG weekend!
