The weekend was wonderful! I couldn't have asked for more... although I did laugh so hard a few times I thought it might throw me into LABOR!!!

Baby Jack

We had an Ultra Sound last week... here is a picture of Jack!! Its his little profile! I think its adorable! Couldn't get a pic of Jarrett, he is lying face down so maybe he's a little camera shy.. who knows!

The pic is not so great.. I had to take a picture of the picture... as I do not have a scanner in my hospital room...  :)

GOT SNOW???

Dallas does! So here it is December 2nd--not even technically WINTER yet, not until Dec 21st anyway--and we got snow flurries this morning! What does that mean for this winter in North Texas??? Who knows with crazy Texas weather. I am on the 7th floor of the hospital so I really had a great view of the snow coming down, I tried to take some pics but they didn't turn out that GREAT, you can see for yourself!
The snow did not stick to the ground but none the less it was snow and great to see!

You have to look close you can kind of see the snow flakes!!!

Moon Boots!

Well that is not what they really are but they sure do look like it!! Since I am on bed rest.. I have to wear these "leg warmers" on my legs to mimic the circulation in my legs to keep them from clotting & swelling. I can get up and move around but since I do sit for most of the day they reccomend that I wear these as much as I can. Air fills the different chambers at different times to circulate blood flow. They make your legs hot and sweat! But worth wearing!

First Flowers in the Hospital

Steve's office sent me the most beautiful vase of Flowers for Thanksgiving..they smelled SO wonderful, still do smell great! Thanks to all of them! I love the flowers!!

Things you do when you are on BedRest!!!

So this week marks 2 weeks and a few days in the hospital.. and we're hoping to make it to 36 weeks..so roughly 3 more weeks to go! Not so bad! Time is not FLYING by but not exactly dragging A$$ either. The worst time of the day for me is between 3 & 6, there is absolutely NOTHING on television during that time frame and that is when I am waiting for Steve to get here! He usually gets here around 6 or 6:30.. and we watch TV together then he goes home to take care of my dog!
But now on to a few things that I could never see myself doing until now..
I am not the type of person to just sit and make arts & crafts.. I have no patience for things like that. And yes I know I will have to change that as my patience will be tested with TWO little boys coming soon!! But I am not a creative person at all.. and well this is what I have done since I have been here--
  1. I have made Christmas Tree Ornaments out of BEADS! ( they are christmas trees if you can't tell)
2.  I learned how to KNIT! I can't believe that I just said that...there is thing called a Kniffty Knitter..makes knitting a piece of CAKE!! Here's pictures of what I did in 2 days! The large hat is for Steve and he picked out the colors.. its ugly but that is what he wanted.. said he'd wear it every Christmas Day for the rest of his life! Then pass it down to the boys--Ha!!

Well that is all I have done this week So Far.. but I wonder what I learn how to do next..Or what else can I make on the Kniffty Knitter?? Who knows!

Can You See Steve...

Here is a pic of Steve trying on his B-day present that I got him--its a pair of Frogg Toggs.. a camo rain suit!

We also had Salt Grass for dinner...I ordered it but Steve had to go pick it up and I ate from my bed and Steve at the table in my room.. what a memorable birthday!

Happy Birthday Steve!

Happy Birthday to my amazing husband!  Steve has been doing so much for "us" the past 2 weeks and I appreciate everything! I know this is taking a toll on him! He comes to the hospital after his LONG day at work then heads home to take care of MY dog and get a good nights sleep--that he needs very much! Then on the weekend he usually spends Saturday night with me, the poor guy has to sleep on the micro couch that is provided by the hospital but, then again..he can sleep anywhere!
Anyway.. just wanted to share his day with everyone and let you all know how much I appreciate him--he is wonderful to me! An amazing husband and he is going to be an AMAZING Father to these boys! Roughly 3 more weeks left, yay! There is a light at the end of the tunnel!!!!

One WHOLE Week

Well here it is FRIDAY, finally! And for most you are looking forward to the weekend activities. Me, I am too but that only means I will get to spend a little more time with my Husband! The poor thing! He has been going back and forth from home so much for me.. and bringing me food..etc.. all the things he should be doing but I know it is taking a toll on him as much as it is for me!
I have been in the hospital now for a week and we are doing great! The babies are doing great and not having any change so no change is GREAT news in my book! Both BOYS are gaining weight and growing and moving all over the place-killing me but yet moving all over the place! Yes, by the way we are having TWO boys!!! Jack & Jarret! Can not wait!!!

My days here in my room are a little long but I have been trying to keep myself busy. I have a stack of books I plan on getting through and I have found a new liking LOVE for Southern Living Magazine, if you haven't read one pick one up GREAT recipies & ideas!!! I can't wait to put some of the ones I found to good use! I also signed up for Netflix and I have never been one to sit and watch a bunch of movies BUT daytime television is terrible so no time better than the present to catch-up on movies..any and all suggestions would be appreciated!! Also suggestions on books would be great too.. I will read anything anyone reccomends, if you love it I will read it!

So, one week down and OH about 3.5 more to go but we'll be out of here before Christmas so that is something to look forward to!!

Have a great weekend!!

Not quite my room but close....

Room with a View...

So I am sitting writing this looking out my window of Medical City Dallas! We have been admitted and will be here until we deliver! This is just a better and more frequent way of monitoring the babies, we have one that is much smaller than the other and to be safe than sorry this was a great option! So here I sit! Not much to watch on TV in the middle of the day! I am sure I will get  a ton of reading in! Who knows maybe the Twlight series again! We are 31 weeks and a few days and looking for delivery between 34 & 36 weeks depening on their weight-- so updates to come!

Ha.. I Figured the PICTURES thing out!!!

Thanks Kelly!!!

So this past weekend Steve decided to start a project in our house and for those of you who know Steve.. starting something and finishing it is really tough for him! And well the TWO rooms are done... well with the exception of caulking the baseboards--but that is so simple! He was exhausted after installing wood floors in our office and dining room-- I have to give him the benefit of the doubt!! He did a GREAT job, I love my new floors!!!
This is something that we have been wanting to do for a while now and this was the weekend it was going to happen, thank God! What a difference the wood versus the carpet makes! My favorite part.. and this is really corney-- but I love to hear Rosco walk on the floor, its cute!

Happy Halloween!!

Steve and I carved our PUMPKINS tonight.. we do this every year! This year all the pumpkins were hand drawn by Steve.. he is pretty creative-- I just carve them, that's about all the talent I have!!
Hope everyone has a great Halloween... I can't wait till next year when we can dress up our kiddos!!! Enjoy!!!

Weekly Update

Saw my OB on Thursday.. I am officially measuring FULL TERM!!! That is with one baby! I am only 29 weeks! Two babies makes a lot of difference, of course! My doctor cut my hours back at work to keep all of us safe and healthy! I opted for that rather than home bed rest--I think I'd go stirr crazy at home! All of our vitals look good, my blood pressure is good, and no swelling or anything! And the babies have both grown and heart beats were strong and steady! We go back to the doc in 2 weeks so we'll see what she says next time! All in all we are all doing well and shooting to make it through November!! I will post a couple pics of the babies faces tonight!
Happy Halloween to everyone!!

weekly visits

Well we are at the point of weekly doctor visits now. The frequent visits makes the time go by even faster..but at the same time all the doc visits takes a TOLL on us! Its a lot to keep up with! But what ever we need to do we will!
We are now at the 28 week marker.. officially in the 3rd trimester! Its truly crazy how time has flown by! I can not wait to meet my sweet babies!
At our last appointment he was weighing in at 2lbs 12oz--quite the brusier!! And she weighed 1lb 8oz--she is a little smaller but still gaining consistantly just not at the same pace that he is!
My docs are hoping to keep them "baking" thru November and into December, we need them as big and healthy as possible!
I don't have any pics to post maybe after the next appointment..
All in all we are trucking along.. getting closer to meeting them!

Quick Update!

Its been a while since my last post. Nothing new to really tell...we are at ALMOST 27 weeks now! So a little less than 10 weekls left! This has gone by so fast! We are now seeing our doctors every 2 weeks now so we have an appointment just about every week! Babies are growing good and making me grow too!
The nursery still needs some work and another piece of furniture (more pics to come)! Storage is an issue with 2 babies I am already running out of room! I had to clean out one of my hall closets to make room for baby stuff but, its right across the hall from their room so it works out perfectly!
We go back to the doc this Thursday and then again on Monday so I will update more then. I have my glucose test on Thursday, hoepfully we'll get good results!

This past weekend my cousin Christi was in town with her girls Carlee & Lanie--I went with them to a Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, it was so much fun I can't wait until next year when my 2 here and we get to go with them!

UnDeR CoNStrUcTiOn.....

This weekend we....Steve painted the nursery, Rosco and I supervised! Since the chair rail was installed the weekend before painting was a piece of cake. Initially we had planned on doing stripes on the lower part of the wall using the dark and light brown that is in the bedding BUT...when we started painting on what I had thought was the lighter of the two colors.. turns out it was darker than expected. We decided that the color was a good in between color and opted to paint the lower part a solid color. I will accent the room with pink and blue right now it is VERY neutral but it is still a work in progress...

Rosco was exhausted from all the painting!!

Nursery... its coming along!!

This past weekend Steve hung up the chair rail in the nursery and we got in one bedding set.. HIS, I actually feel bad for not ordering both bedding sets and, don't ask me why I did that! I think they are going to get jealous already she is going to come out mad at me becasue I bought his first...ha! So here are some more pics of the nursery.. it really is coming along.. we hope to paint this weekend!!

Chair Rail...

Aunt KiKi was here to help me supervise!

Its a start.. a rough draft actually..

We got their beds in and have them put together, we still need to paint and get one more piece of furniture but hey.. its a start!

21 weeks!

We went to the doc on Friday, all is well and babies are growing. I am really starting to feel then move around. It is an amazing feeling! My stomach is getting pretty huge and we have a lot more to go.

here are some pics of the babies..........

baby "B" HE would not turn his face towards us, so you see one hand on the side of his face near his ear and the other looks like it is covering his mouth.

Baby "A" SHE liked the camera and faced us the entire time.

Both of the babies, I did not realize just how close the stayed to each other, this is a pic of their heads.

Both of them again, one is looking towards the left and the other towards the right.

Baby "B" looking up.. still very skeleton like..

And my favorite... She looks like she is in deep thought here with her finger at her mouth.
